HF & VHF/UHF Mobile Operations

Mobile installations provide a challenge in overcoming many issues, but can be very rewarding once successful. VHF/UHF installations are by far the most common, because they are the easiest (relatively speaking). Effective HF mobile adds a number of other issues, but it doesn't have to stop there. I have even heard one ham operating mobile SSTV! Here, W4ULB provides two stories on the issues he encountered installing HF and VHF/UHF in a vehicle. We also encourage other members to send us write ups on thier mobile shacks, to be included here.
